At Wrenn our classrooms are windows to the world; where our dedicated and knowledgeable staff strive to ignite passion and curiosity about the world in which we live. Geography is exciting and dynamic, providing constant opportunities for new knowledge and understanding.
The diverse and inclusive curriculum we offer explores a range of local, national, and global issues, including climate change, coastal erosion, deforestation, renewable energy, and inequality. We study a wide range of world locations, including India, Australia, UK, Russia and more.
Our robust KS3 curriculum prepares students for their journey into KS4 and includes a focus on geographical skills including OS map skills, mathematical, statistical, and graphical skills, as well as focused writing techniques.

Students who wish to continue their journey into the field of Geography can choose to study with us in Sixth form. We offer an A Level Geography, following the AQA specification. |
What will students learn? |
The A Level consists of two externally examined papers on the following topics: Paper 1: Physical Geography:
Paper 2: Human Geography:
Students will also complete a Non-Examined Assessment (NEA) on a topic of their choice. |
How will students be assessed? |
Fully examined course. 2 x 2.5 hour written exam papers. Paper 1: Physical Geography (40%) Paper 2: Human Geography (40%) NEA (20%) |
