Over the course of the academic year Wrenn School has been renovating a double decker bus which is now permanently located on school grounds.
The vehicle has been transformed into a multipurpose scientific learning environment for use by Wrenn School students and local primary schools. The launch event on 11 July was attended by BBC Radio Northamptonshire and students from Park Junior School had the privilege of being the first students to use the array of facilities on board.
In September, Professor Sir John Holman, leading chemist and educationalist will be guest of honour at an event held on the bus to mark the start of the new academic year. This project was made possible through generous donations from local businesses, hardworking volunteers, staff and the Tesco’s ‘Bags of Help’ initiative.
